Photos taken of and On Highway number 1 in Australia. Please include tags about where on the highway you were.

Highway 1 circumnavigates the country. For the most part it is dual cariage way, but in the major cities it is a wide freeway or motorway and in parts of the NT and Queensland no more than a dirt road.

There are some roads which were once the main highway and in some places there are alternaive Route 1's. These are included in the scope of this group.
