1TakeTV is a creative student mobilization project designed to take aspiring journalists on the adventure of a lifetime by embedding them in non-profit and humanitarian organizations operating overseas. Because many non-profit and humanitarian organizations lack the talent and resources to tell their own stories, 1TakeTV seeks to train and equip journalism students to videotape, photograph, document and release the hard news and human interest stories from the frontlines of numerous conflicts, ranging from HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa and human trafficking in Southeast Asia to refugee camps in Sudan and religious persecution in China.

Students will be hand-picked through a rigorous selection process, trained and tested by proven professionals in our “Field Reporting Boot Camp,” and trusted and embedded in organizations stretched across the globe.
