The 1Mandala Project
A Collaborative Mandala Art Project Uniting the Planet in Peace and Oneness
As an expression of our Oneness we are building a grand collaborative mandala out of peace portraits photos. We invite you to find a moment, snap, and share your portrait and peace with us. Get creative! All we ask is that your portrait be intentionally taken for the project and that you are sending peace and good vibes out to the world. Add your photo to the Flickr group and we will add it to the 1Mandala.
Why a Mandala and why Oneness? By awakening the world to our Oneness, we can heal our divisions and make living together the joyful celebration we all want it to be. Mandalas are an ancient circular and geometric art-form. They have been used by the world's spiritual traditions to raise human consciousness for centuries. Our 1Mandala is now being built out of these self portraits of people from around the world beaming peace. We plan to unveil the giant 1Mandala of 10,000 'peace portraits' on the date 10/10/10 in front of the United Nations in New York City in support of a World Oneness day.
