About 1 Most interestingness and Why
1 Most interestingness and Why
Members are requested to add their one best (most interesting) photo on Flickr to this group, and add a small description as to why you think this photo became so popular/interesting.
This photo can be the one with maximum Flickr "interestingness" or simply one you like the best yourself.
You can only add one image to this group.
All entries should have the Creative Commons Attribution license chosen:
to Share — to copy, distribute and transmit the work
to Remix — to adapt the work
to make commercial use of the work
These photos may later be included in a book for sale or similar presentation/publication/use/exploitation for learning, etc., by anyone following the Creative Commons license. Don't participate in this group if you don't share that feeling of community for your most interesting photo on Flickr.
To find your "most interesting according to Flickr" photo (called "interestingness"), replace "mikebaird" below with your Flickr username
flickrhivemind.net/User/mikebaird/Interesting
If you can't add your image to this group because it is already in too many groups (highly likely), just ask me mike at mikebaird d o t com to issue an invitation at your photo page (email to me the URL of the photo page, i.e., the one with comments and description, etc).
Be sure to add a sentence in your description field as to why you think this photo became so interesting/popular to the Flickr community.
For example, for my photo at

I said:
"This photo got traction because it is simple - there are no distracting background elements. It looks pretty good in its thumbnail form. Rule of thirds applied gives negative space for the subjects, here on horseback, to ride forward. It tells a little story of people riding horses on a deserted beach at low tide on a foggy day."
Please comment on other photos in this group and give your reasons for why that photo was so successful.
This can turn into a fun learning experience.
