About Historic Bushaway Road

In Wayzata, Minnesota, the mile-long segment of Co. Rd 101 is officially named Bushaway Road. The road is over 100 years old and its history is filled with famous families, Minnesota leaders, and summer mansions called lake cottages. This historic neighborhood, threatened by major widening of the road corridor by Hennepin County, has been doing research on the history, the ecology, and the culture of the community. This group is dedicated to the beauty of the road, the homes and the bodies of Lake Minnetonka that rest next to it.
