A new year is a key time to start some new projects. Taking one photo per day is one way to put a framework on your creativity!


A 365 days project, is a project some photographers choose to do, for a whole year, when they really need some inspiration. It consists of one photo a day, for 365 days. For a somewhat more manageable project, we will also offer the choice of a 52 week project.

Get out of your comfort zone. Take risks and try photography styles you’ve never done before. Now and again I force myself to do shots that I’m unfamiliar or even uncomfortable with. The results have been somewhat surprising.

Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. For those of you who are new on the scene, using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing your shots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.
There will be times you’ll think there’s nothing interesting left to take a photo of, and times you’ll think you didn’t do anything exciting enough to take a photo of. There’s always a great photo to be made.
Get out of the house and take a walk. Or stay inside and look around. Take a photo of something important to you. Take a photo of anything, just don’t stop.
