~ 1 item to be found in an Op Shop/Garage Sale/Flea Market.
~ 1 item to be handmade by yourself or someone else.

REpurposing existing gifts is fine.

Price limit is set at $15 or the equivalent amount in your currency.

The Sign-up will close 31/10/2011.
Swap Partners will be announced 3/11/2011.
You will have 2wks to find all the goodies for your parcel so it can be posted by 21/11/2011

I will keep Swap Partners localised ie. Aussies-Aussies, Kiwis-Kiwis so that postage is kept to a minimum.

You don't have to wait until Christmas Day to open your present but please come back here with photos of your goodies to share with everyone.

If you would like to be a part of this Swap please leave your name, a link to your Blog and which country you reside in, along with a generalised list of the things you like & dislike so your Swap Partner will have a heads up.

Cool idea - count me in :) My name is Nadene and I live in rural WA.
I like to do all sorts of 'arty-farty' things. I love fabric, I am a taurean, I have a soft spot for bric-a-brac shops too (esp. ones in the UK/Europe). I also have a collection of old bits and pieces - too many things to list here!

I dislike: anything synthetic/nylon, anything trendy, fur and the smell of mothballs.

Hi I'm in. What a fabulous idea!!! I'm new to this whole concept but I will give it whirl. I love op shopping and was taught by the master. My name is Regina and I live by the beach in South Gippsland , Victoria. When I am not running after my boys I like to make jewellery from old buttons and beads and jewellery components. I also make tea light chandeliers from old teapots, punch cups, kitchen metal ware, spoons and any other interesting bits I can source from opshops, swap meets and garage sales. Its nice to rescue what were once treasured items and give them a new lease of life. I like old metalware that is textured and tarnished, old buttons and anything unusual, quirky and made with love and a sense of humour Looking forward to this journey!! Good one Jody

Hi I'm Helen. I'm an Adelaide Mum of 10 kids aged 25-4yo and I love to sew, Op-shop, read and garden. Unlike lots of you, I like purple, especially smoky purple and also love greens and greeny-blues. I'm working on my veggie garden and discovering growing things from seeds instead of punnets. I have chooks and make my own soaps. I used to bake all our own bread, but now am gluten free and sugar free (low carb/paleo) but do like a bit of 70%+ choccy now and then.
I like to read sci-fi, apocalyptic and fantasy stories but I'm not keen on zombies and vampires (too scary for me lol).
I like to sew clothes for my children and like to use Euro fabrics, patterns and combinations but I also like to re-use and re-purpose and love homely and vintagey things and old pattern books like Enid Gilchrist. So old curtains and sheets and doilies, both embroidered and crochet are favourite oppy finds.
You can see more of what I like by checking out my blog at stitcharooney.blogspot.com
I'm having great luck at the Oppys latey and I seem to get a LOT for $15! It will be a lot of fun looking for something special for my swap partner. Of maybe I already have the perfect thing? :)

And for Christmas I am a complete sucker for anything to do with the Twelve Days of Christmas - you know A partridge in a pear tree and all that.

This is great, I am really looking forward to hitting the op shops now.
