About 172 mm Chandigarh
Chandigarh indeed is the "city beautiful". State of the art roads, scenic beauty, stunning architecture and the beautiful lake Sukhna.....isn't this enough to fall in love with the city?
172 mm - the group is open to like minded shutter-bugs (professionals and non-professionals) from Chandigarh and around the world, who would like to share their skills, expertise, photos and experiences with other members of the club.

172 mm, the name taken from the area code of Chandigarh symbolises this group, through the lens of which the residents and the whole world can better appreciate the City Beautiful. The logo of the group is inspired from the city's official emblem "The Open Hand", which conveys the social message of peace and unity that is "open to give & open to receive." The credit for laying down its plan goes to the French architect Le Corbusier, also the chief architect of Chandigarh, the first planned city in India.
Our mission-
To bring together all the photographers, professional and amateurs under one common canopy to bring forth the jewels of this city and the world.
Once moderately established group meetups, photoshoots in and around the city, photography workshops and competitions will be organized for the members.
We invite all shutterbugs, whether residing in the city, or fascinated with its beauty to join this group so that we can start this journey with our camera shutters wide open.
