About Dining with Alice, Elsing Hall, 12-21 May 2011

Dining with Alice was a magical, if topsy-turvy, dinner party in the exquisite gardens of a 15th century moated manor house in rural Norfolk. Dining with Alice imagined you’d followed in Alice’s footsteps, fallen down the rabbit hole and found yourself in Wonderland in the company of the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and even Alice herself.

All is not what it seemed in this delicious concoction, conceived and directed by Hilary Westlake, with a Victorian-style feast worthy of the Mad Hatter himself created by gastronomic wizards Bompas & Parr.

Guests were transported straight to the heart of Lewis Carroll’s imaginary world in an evening of tongue-twisters and riddles, culminating in a musical entertainment under the stars.

Artichoke, best known for The Sultan’s Elephant and Antony Gormley’s One & Other, brought you this unforgettable evening as part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
