About Jizo (地蔵)
This group is for sharing photos of Jizo, a Bodhisattva (person who, destined to become a Buddha, postpones final enlightenment to guide others out of suffering) who in Japan watches over children and travelers. Jizo is one of many such personas in the Buddhist tradition.
This group is dedicated to sharing both the beauty and diversity of Jizo images, as well as the compassion and care that he represents.
