About Brain food : Riddles !

This is a group dedicated to finding, discussing and solving riddles, enigmas or just plain old intellectual puzzles.


Players:
Only two rules (or the game is ruined for everyone) :
1 - As a general rule, Google is forbidden when looking for answers
2 - Answers in comment are forbidden, only Flickr messages can be used, except if the answer is a big joke.

The riddle will be active at least one week.
So when you think you have the good answer, send it to the person who posted the riddle. If it's correct, the poster will add a comment "x has the answer!.' This will give everyone a chance to puzzle over the riddle. After a week at least, the answer can be published for everyone !


Making a riddle :

First, When you post a riddle, please include this text :

This is a riddle for the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/14818789@N00">Brain Food : Riddles group</a> (<b>Please read the Rules of the group</b>). If you think you have the answer to the riddle send me a message, please don't reveal all in a comment.
<b>You are also welcome to leave comments.</b>

After that :
a) Post a picture with a text underneath it. The text will be a riddle, an enigma... something to resolve. If you don’t know any, you can use the Internet, but only for this ! As a general rule, we can't use the internet to resolve. But then, If your riddle allows to look for in the internet, please add a tag "internet allowed".

b) Clues can be in comments or tags and your picture should have some relation to the puzzle. The picture itself can be a clue, a prompt, a mysterious thing, or suggest the answer or theme of the group. It can be a simple photo with a relation to the text or the solution, or a software-generated visual puzzle.

c) If you don’t want to bore people, make it interactive! If your puzzle is proving too difficult, add a clue or hint in the thread, and answer questions or comments if you want to.

d) Feel free to delete a comment if you think it's too close from the solution and put a comment to the flicker "Your comment was too close"

e) You may want to add ‘solved/ unsolved’ to the title/tags of a pic so that it is easy to make out which puzzles are still active.

f) Post one or two active riddles at a time, even if you desperately want to flood the group with your abounding enthusiasm ! A riddle must be active at least a week, except if it's easy and resolved before (easy riddles will be welcome in the middle of the other ones)

g) And if you’re ingenious, create your own riddle or puzzle. Extra jellybeans awarded.

h) NEW!!! If you have posted three good riddles, you can become an administrator. More to follow....
