All my congratulations to Steffen for a well deserved accolade.
Her photographic descriptions are so close to a painter's realistic style. The images obtained by such means, whether visual or literary, are prized precisely to the degree that they capture these moments of psychic intensity in provocative forms of unrestrained, convulsive beauty.
Barbara has done an excellent job in collating these images. It must have been a hard job… as Steffen's works are all beyond the routes of imagination. They are all compelling and bizarrely appealing.]
