About Tinto Hill

Tinto Hill is the largest in a small group of hills called the Tinto Hills. The name of Tinto Hill is derived from the red felsite rocks visible on the hillside. It rises to 2335ft in the parish of Carmichael and is Lanarkshires highest and most iconic hill.
