What the title says. Pictures where the background is, quite clearly, bed covers.

These pictures are so striking because they're often quite intimate and revealing, whilst being utterly functional. Behind their rough-hewn charm lies suggestion that the photographer lives in a small, cramped space and their bed is the only surface remaining that's clear enough to pose items on. And that's probably the cleanest bit, too - who knows what lies beneath?

But also hard to escape is the idea that the photographer just can't be arsed to get out of bed, so hauled themselves up on one elbow, smoothed the duvet flat with their palm and snapped the shot before collapsing back into that numb, twilight state it would be wrong to call sleep.

Plus you get to see what someone else's bedclothes are like, and that's not information most of us are privy to in our normal lives.
