Now on to Printmonkey

Hi 'Letterpress Design' - to get involved, simply find out who the last person with the paper (Jacqui Sharples at the moment - then they are going to flowers & fleurons) drop them a line with your address. Hopefully it's as simple as that!

I've started letterpressing at 45. That's about as taxing as it gets round here! Would loved to be included in the chain letter. Have only got a couple of bits of work up on Flickr (I run a design business and I'm stuggling to breath at the moment let alone find the time to get into the garage to print) but I'm ready, willing and able. What's next?

Right you slackers! - The chain letter was started over six month ago.
So... time is ticking away, and it will soon be Christmas.
can we bring this chain-letter to a close in the next month or so.
Can I propose that the turn-a-round time should be a maximum of 10 days? If you are unable to print off and send on the prints to the next person, then send on the prints to the next person - (sorry to be such a pain but there is an international chain-letter on the offing, and I don't want us to set a bad example).
Turn off that television and get printing - although I may just have a look at...

It is now almost eleven months since it started - I know the post office is not what it was but, can we bring this to a close before Easter if possible?
Any other thoughts - Are there any takers for a 2011 exchange project?

Greetings all.
First post here, so go easy!
Would love to take part in the 2011 chain letter...can't contribute to the current one as everything is in chaos here (new press, broken old press, press missing bits, loads of manky cases of type...blah blah blah).
My flickr doesn't have anything inky on it, as all the 'action' takes place on our site/blog. www.theprintproject.co.uk
—Graham @ Incline, I believe we may have a mutual friend from the TCA?
—Hey Jax, I finally stuck my head above the parapet!
Looking forward to getting involved.
Regards xx

Picked up the package from the Sorting Office this afternoon. Had to phone around as I had absolutely no memory at all about what this was! According to the list above, (Jacqui Sharples, Hi-Artz, Letterpress Design, Incline Press, New North Press, Flexolite, Flowers and Fleurons), I'm to post it to New North Press, but have no address for that! Please help!! Next time we do this, an address list inside the package would be a definite help!
I'll have it printed and dried for the end of the week and aim to get it in the post Friday if not sooner, so long as someone sends me the address. Ta muchly in advance. graham@inclinepress.com

I have just checked that the chain-letter began almost two years ago!
Would there be any possibility for it to be completed exactly two years later? We have until the 25th February 2012.
It would be great for all those who took part to finally meet up and see the work - I think a public house would be a good idea. Does anyone have any suggestions for a venue - what about in the old heart of publishing - St Brides or thereabouts.
Best wishes

Carl - I've no idea, am I the last one to get it? Or is there someone else after me? I haven't had to wait as long as some of you to see it, 2 years is a long time!!
Your idea about meeting up is great - you don't mean the pub though surely? If it was St Brides in the room with all the presses? Can't see how it would work in the actual library?
Cheers

Hi Carl - great idea about a meet-up! Looks like somewhere suitable (pub or printing establishment) in the Midlands may be a good place to meet-up seeing as we are pretty well dispersed across the north and south of the country.

If we can make Gridula the last participant, we have a chance for the two year deadline. Yes Printmonkey, I am happy for a Midlands based final celebration 'hand over'.
Any other thoughts, anyone?

OK - no problem, now where is it??!!
Midlands - sounds fine to me, but I haven't a clue where? The Custard Factory in Birmingham? Isn't there some kind of print shop at Ironbridge? I would imagine there would be some nice pubs there too. Daytime drinking? Ye gods.
[EDIT] Ironbridge does have a print shop as part of the 'Blists Hill' Victorian Town.

Yes I'd love to know where the chain letter is. Someone needs a nudge!
Yes I've spoken to Blists Hill before, invited me down to get dressed up and print hehe ;o) You normally have to pay to get in the whole museum town, wonder if they have a pub!
Will have to try and find the email and see what they say might let us loose in the print shop if we do lots of press for them!
Simon Goode might know of somewhere, it's his home town will ask!
