About Heart Of Glass: The Glass Menagerie
.
"If you can't kill it, how alive is it?"
Anything in the spirit of the Glass Menagerie. Blue roses and glass or crystal objects (especially unicorns) are the most important things, but also maybe winter scenes or certain kinds of pictures of the moon (or stars?) or other things that are of a very poignant, delicate, sensitive, "blue" sensibility. I have to be kind of strict about what goes in the pool, to maintain the right mood. Those glass "cubes", with a picture carved inside, which you put on a light box work. Other blue (or white?) flowers might work. Night pics are great.
Pictures of all colors work great, but the very best are clear, black, blue, white, or silver.
Submit anything you think will work but don't be upset if it waits in queue for awhile, or if It isn't accepted. We have to try to create the right atmosphere. It looks great so far!

Please be careful what you invite; it would be better for the group to stay small than to get watered down too much. This is a very strange group because I can't exactly tell you what belongs in it! I know exactly what the group is about, but the specific types of pictures with which to accomplish that is another matter entirely. The only way I can describe it is that it is a like a star in a cold, dark sky, infinitely far away, but whispering with great clarity. It is very, very much a mood group. Despite what you might think, this is not meant to be a "girly" group. Not at all. It's meant to be very, very serious. There is all the difference in the world between a blue rose and a tie-dyed rose that knocks you over by shooting out hearts and pixiedust that Tinkerbell would flee from in horror. If you don't understand what I mean, you probably shouldn't invite anything other than blue roses or glass or crystal figures.
