About Vanishing America
As I start poking around Flickr, I found a lot of groups depicting rural America, and often, the word decay was used in the description. Have grown up out there, I will be the last to deny we aren't seeing a lot of rural culture decaying and disappearing. However, I also noticed in those groups people taking pictures of fields, fields in production and still labeling it decay. So, I just wanted to start this group for pictures of that rural part of America with people who can find more than its rust, but its heart too, no matter how old or worn that heart may be ...
