I finished my first project today. Thanks for the extra push to get it done! It was a basic pair of PJ pants, but they're a very cozy fleece that my little guy will enjoy. I blogged about it here: compulsivecraftiness.com/2011/easy-one-cut-pj-pants-tutor...

For my first day I decided to embellish an old boy vest in order to transform it onto a one that my niece could love (and wear), it takes me a few minutes less than the first kcwc hour

I haven't done any actual sewing today but I've cut out a bunch more patterns and am getting stuff ready to take advantage of my mom's serger tomorrow.

I managed to squeeze in my hour of sewing in stops and starts throughout a SUPER hectic day. I even kept track of my time on my stopwatch to make sure I didn't get cheated out of one minute! I haven't posted anything about KCWC yet, but my blog is:

Got my hour too late, after l'enfant was already asleep in the nursery/bedroom/sewing room (our space is small) so I cut out the pieces for the dress on the coffee/reading/cutting table. Need to find black interfacing tomorrow -- that exists, right?

I got almost three hours in after the kids went to bed! Bit bleary eyed this morning though ;-) And about an hour of that was seam ripping thanks to some ill-judged appliqué knee pads. So I'm not quite done with my first project yet!

I sewed during nap time today, but didn't want to stop when they woke up. So I didn't, and I totally paid for that later when I emerged from my sewing room to find toys all over the house and assorted other messes in every room. I'll have to be stricter with myself tomorrow, and stop when the babies wake up!

Well then I must be cheating too as I spent the weekend cutting out - only because I was away from home Monday and Tuesday and again tomorrow. Hand sewing tomorrow though to do something and I drafted another skirt today so that counts.

I got about 3 hours! : ) Lucky me! 1 hour while my daughter was at play school and the other 2 after her bedtime. However I had not been able to do any prep. so those hours were spent sketching and drafting and sorting out fabrics. I did get a quick pair of bloomers made though!
