"Letters on the run" are not allowed to be members of the "One Letter" group as they are officially trying to escape the notice of human kind. So self publicity is avoided at all costs. When caught they reluctantly come without a fight but are secretly proud to know that their family members can see them in the rogues gallery of the group!
To mis-quote Jim Morrison in Wayne's World 2 "If you build it, they will come".
