Please notice the new description "About Open Water Rowing," below. A rower's a rower, and all the world is better for them, but this site for open water or coastal rowing is being overwhelmed--drowned?--by flatwater rowers. They must be more energetic. They certainly are more numerous! So, with some regret (and an apology that I hope our flatwater brothers & sisters will appreciate), I'll be weeding the Group Photo Pool of flatwater content in the future.

About Open Water RowingPhotos of and about open water rowing, open water rowers, and open water rowing boats and equipment. Main interest is in open water rowing shells (sliding seat rowing) and variants. While we welcome rowers of all kinds, as members, only photos of open water rowers and their boats will be displayed. Member photos that are submitted go into a moderation queue for approval. (Use of the European term, "coastal rowing" would maybe be better than "open water rowing," but we don't want to exclude those who row on big lakes.) |
