Is it just me?

Lately I've been getting a surplus of Members Favoriting my Kid Photo's, that don't have photo's available to me. On top of that when I look at their other Favorites by other members I notice they are all kid pics also.
I suppose there are people who join flickr and enjoy looking at photo's without uploading their own, but as I said, just seems like a lot of these scenarios have involved photo's of Children.
I could be over reacting but I'll probably start blocking such users.

Ooh yeah that would ring alarm bells for me. I want through a week or so when I had numerous strange people making me their contact that had no photos up and it worried me a little and I blocked them. There is no harm in over reacting, better to be safe than sorry! :o)

if your photos are public, they are public....public is public, you can't do nothing to stop this sick people....I also have photos with kids and I don't want to become material for some old sick people...but you can't do nothing, you have to make them private if you want to be really safe....I don't know what to do.... :(

Whateverthing - I haven't had to yet, but I would seriously consider blocking this person.

I have noticed this from my stream too and added to my profile,
"If you add a photo of my as a favoriate and you have no photos in your stream and no buddy icon, I'll BLOCK YOU!"
I don't think there is any reason not too.

UPDATE: I did block the user with whom I was concerned. I also reported my concern to Flickr. I see that today the user's account no longer exists. I think that's good. But it makes me wonder, if the person (in real life) *is* dangerous, whether any real investigation will go on, or whether Flickr just shuts down the account and the person is free to find another source.

I do have a couple of contacts who don't have any photos available because they make all the photos of their kids private. I would try to find out if that's the case before blocking someone, but if you are uncomfortable and decide to block them, don't feel badly. You have to protect your kids!

Anybody faves any single picture of my wife or kids that doesn't have any pictures of their own or just porn - get's blocked immediately. It's just my personal little policy.

Same thing happened to a few pics of my kids. Some person is making 18 galleries of all kid pics...but they aren't sharing their pics. They are using my pics in these galleries called Kids...how do I stop that? Or can I stop it??

I just blocked the guy - koolguy9 he has mutliple galleries called Boys&Girls. I commented on one asking why there were so many galleries of young children. No response...so he get's blocked.

WOW, allot of paranoid people here, funny in a sad way sometimes, you are all screaming about "protecting" your children (their photo) and making them private,at the same time complaining that people have no photos available to you (like you are supposed to have special access or something because they have all their photos friend and family as well because they beat you to the delusional paranoia finish line.)
Reality Check!, your photo of your child is NOT your child, in the off chance that some weirdo, likely in a far off place, gets any pleasure from he photo. it will not magically affect your child. u want to set all your photos to friend and family only, be my guest, but don't waste anyone's time complaining because you can't see someone else's stream because they got all paranoid by the internet style ability of a possibly maybe could be, might be pedophile in some far of place getting something from rocks off from it affecting your child's mental well being in a drastic life altering long term way.
All the paranoia in this thread is indicative of the damage being done to our future (children) by helicopter mom's and dad's worrying about some weirdo (there will ALWAYS be weirdos) in some far off place, that will never ever see your child in anything but a photo. The damage that is being done is horrendous, children now see boogie "people" ( I type people because of PC, and I am sick and tired of hearing that men who have anything to do with children must be pedo because they would not have anything to do with kids if they were not, never hear that about women, funny) around every corner, and every person is a predator just waiting for the right time to pounce on your lovely unsuspecting children.
Flickr is a photo sharing and social website, if you want to share your your photos, and keep some private, do some socializing, make new friends, and just have a good time, it is a great place to be a member.
If you want to keep all your photos private, because God forbid someone liked them and added them to their favorite list, act in an anti social, accusatory manner where everyone that does not share the exact same narrow minded moral, cultural, and ethnic belief system and prudishness as you gets labeled a weirdo or.......PEDOPHILE........then Flickr is probably not the greatest place for you, I am all for keeping an eye on your contacts, and those that favorite my photos, but I do not shake in fear when someone favorites my photo, because they must be a pedo with a magical third eye that will sear terrible images into my child's brain.
I have a great idea, I think I will start a website called:
Helicopter Parent Paranoia Central.com, HPPC.com for short.
I won't even charge for membership, it would be a cheep source of entertainment.
I also have a more reasonable idea, Get Over Yourselves!

I discovered that these people they take photos of beautiful children then go into the site and post the photos on the site, where several strangers take pictures and use the children, told me that, and I'm going for you

I just blocked this person (link below) after a picture of my nieces as flower girls at my wedding was made a fav. This person has no profile and all his (assuming) are of little girls dressed as flower girls and grown up women in tight dresses, shots of their backside or just showing their legs, the contacts/groups are also iffy. I didn't like what I was seein so, I blocked this user ! ... check it out and tell me if I'm over reacting.
