I've never joined a quilting bee before. What exactly is involved? I'm a new quilter, so no skills to offer as yet, but I'm willing to try.

srcldennis: Check out the post "What is a virtual quilting bee?" in this group. It gives some basic ideas of what to expect.
So far we have 5 of us who want to do a Canadian bee.

I'm in BC and I would love to be part of this. I haven't joined any bees before due to the cost of mailing packages internationally. The New year sounds great!

Peonybliss - If we have trouble getting enough interest, we could possibly do this with 7 members, allowing for 2 months inbetween rather than 1 with each member doing 3 blocks for each member or some variation of this. I know the original block party did get a bit behind and chose to allow a delay of 1 month during their bee for everyone to catch up. Just a thought...

That is a great option. I am going to ask one or two people that I know in my town here if they would be interested in joining as well. We can definitely do it with less people, as long as all who are involved wouldn't mind making an extra block or two. I'll get back to you all soon about what we will do.
