About Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State University (APSU) is a 4-year accredited institution within the city of Clarksville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1927 as the Austin Peay Normal School; by 1943 it had become Austin Peay State College, and finally designated an university in 1967.
