About The P90X Group
Hi all, and welcome to The P90X Group! Please read below as it contains important information if you are considering being a part of this movement.
This group is designed for people to share their P90X workout results from beginning to end. I want this to be a place where people can get together and share their P90X experiences, and to help each other stay motivated and on track. We are all about positive changes here, and supporting one another. I want this to be a place where people can be comfortable with sharing their images and experiences so please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make this a more positive place or if there is something that you feel uncomfortable with. We are all testing the waters here.
You are free to add P90X related images or videos to the pool but please try and keep them based on images of your physical progress so that the pool doesn't get cluttered with other stuff. We are really here to see the progress that we can achieve with this program. We will be taking a slightly different approach in this group and will take advantage of the thread system. You are not required to show pictures of yourself and your progress, but please know that it does help both you and others to do this as we are all about progression and we are visual people. This is flickr after all.
It will be easier to track individuals progress if everyone starts an individual thread where they can post images and/or videos. This will accomplish a couple things:
1.) By doing this you don't have to post photos to your normal flickr stream if you don't want to. You can simply post images to any free image hosting sites such as www.photobucket.com and relay the HTML code to the thread. I know that not everyone wants to post self portraits of themselves half naked to their flickr stream and this is a way to overcome that.
2.) It will be easier to track individuals progress by doing it this way. Instead of having to search through all the images in the pool to find someone's progression, they will be all neatly contained within a time constructed thread with their name as a header.
So everyone that would like to participate with images should start a thread with their flickrname as a title. My thread would be titled: Darien Chin
Easy Peasy..
At the beginning of the thread you will give your starting stats. Each time you post up a new images please correspond with your new stats.
Stats that should be covered (or whatever you feel comfortable with):
-Age
-Body Fat %
-Weight (unclothed)
-Chest
-Waist
-Hips
-Right Thigh (measured at midpoint)
-Left Thigh (measured at midpoint)
-Right Arm (flexed, measured at peak of bicep)
-Left Arm (flexed, measured at peak of bicep)
Fitness Test Stats:
-Resting Heart Rate
-Max Pull Ups (palms forward)
-Max Push Ups
-Vertical Leap (in inches)
-Toe Touch Flexibility if past toes (in inches)
-Wall Squat (minutes/seconds)
-Bicep Curls (number/weight)
-Ab Test (number)
-Hear Rate Maximizer (immediately after/1 min. after/2 min. after/3 min. after/4 min. after)
