This is the place to showcase your images taken in the dark of night. City, country, shoreline, ambient man-made light, light-painting, cloud movement and star trails are the things we're looking for in this group.
To be accepted, the images must show an exterior night ambiance. You have to be able to tell it's night outside.
Don't post dusk and sunrise/sunset images. If the sun is in the image it does not belong in this group. If the sky is orange or pink because of the setting/rising sun, it does not belong in the group. Midnight sun is still sun. Images with a sunset, sunrise, dusk, etc. tags will be deleted without further consideration.
No concert photography, no interiors. These will be allowed only if you can see exterior ambiance showing an exterior, night context. (Ie: interiors that look outside or outdoor concerts where you can see that it's outdoors.)
No pure studio lighting or light painting images, unless they fit the group's exterior night context, as outlined above.
Bokeh is OK, provided we can comprehend what we're looking at enough to tell it fits the group's exterior night context, as outlined above.
Non-photographic imagery, such as paintings or video are OK, provided they fit the group's exterior night context, as outlined above.
Plugs for your gallery opening or workshop are OK, provided they fit the group's exterior night context, as outlined above.
Do not remove and then repost your images, so as to move them closer to the front page. If we catch you doing this, you, and your images, will be removed from the group.
This group is fully moderated. If the image meets the group's criteria we'll add it to the pool. If not, it will be deleted without notice.
