About 2009 National History Day in South Carolina

More than 300 middle and high school students from around the state converged on the S.C. Archives and History Center on April 25, 2009 to take part in the National History Day state finals competition. The students competed individually and in groups in four categories: historical papers, exhibits, performances and documentaries. The two Gold Medalists in each category earned the opportunity to represent South Carolina at the national competition in June at the University of Maryland.
