I don't know, the skull on the pants doesn't match up with a top of a skull on the torso like the other figs. It could be fake. Though, if it's not, this may be the coolest LEGO fig ever!

Ooo, nice catch. Did not notice that the torso was a BT1 update or the BTII logo. I was looking more at the head. :P That'd be great if this is for real though.

No its just one of the new SPIII minifigs, Shurik posted images of sets from 2010 and this minifig was in one of them however lego asked for them to be removed from his stream and the TBB.
I really hope I'm wrong thought!!!

Damn that's awesome. It suggests Blacktron recruit aliens, which is interesting.
I'd probably give him groovier trousers, though.

^ Or the alien mugged a BT fig and took his clothes.

Having had time to ponder this guy, I do like it, but I think an original tri force logo would be a zillion times awesomer.

Of course Blacktron recruits aliens. Because aliens are unscrupulous characters. ;-)

^^ I think the Blacktron 2 torsos were ugly and boring because of the logo, so I don'thave much sympathy for it either. Since they use it on the chest I suppose any Blacktron marked vehicles might have that logo instead of the triforce one. I like the triforce one better, it's more menacing.

I agree that the Serpinski logo should've been used instead of just the "B".
Ah well, here's hoping for some BTIII sets...

IT is too early to say for sre on whether or not this is genuine, but I would love to think it is.

Confirmed: The fig is real, but will be a villain in next year's SPIII lineup and his name is Rench.

Rench, huh? I like it. This is a fairly significant development in the official Blacktron backstory.

Backstory? I think of it as more of a current story. This fits in nicely with the idea that I developed this past summer, that BTIII has become a ragtag group of pirate aliens, since their BTII ancestors wasted all the money living like fools. But hey, I'm interested in all interpretations. :)

I agree with the captain, they're now an alien crime syndicate, which has potential for some cool mocs. The deeper implications of an interstellar pirate syndicate means the organisation could still have a core of old Blacktron generals and even a fleet and secret bases in some remote system. They did start out as spies and information gatherers. I suspect this is one of the venues they earn money from, as well as robberies and probably mercenary activities. -This makes it easier to mix BTI and BTII as well, if Blacktron is a space pirate empire or syndicate of sorts.

What ever happened to Blacktron being made up of clones? I'm a fan of them all being the same guy, and if they are the same guy, Whats his name?

Clones? You mean BT1 all being smilie face guys? While clones are good, I feel that now that Star Wars has diluted it with silly crap, clones are no longer interesting. I mean if you're going to make an expendable army, why not use robots? It's gotta be way cheaper. Speaking of, you don't have to necessarily make the robots as crappy and moronic as the Star Wars battle droids. Make them more like Terminators.
Anyway, with all the variety of human and alien heads these days, using all smilie heads seems rather boring. imho anyway.

Most of my Blacktron forces I have swithed their faces, and even the ones who still have the classic smiley I can tell them apart.
And bleh, the Clone Wars series is horrible. I can't think of clones in a good light anymore, unless Timothy Zahn is also in the conversation.

@Captain Redstorm
But if they are all clones I have the perfect slogan for Blacktron I
"We take being evil so personally, we don't have a separate personality"
