A small collection of design details from a small town. Signs and ornaments, statues, typography, advertising. The urban particulars that can enrich a place. The things you see on foot.
Whatever style or epoch: Maori, Victorian, contemporary and digital, and things in between.
The things away from the lenses of tourists, the things you have to look a bit harder for.
The details that you delight in when in more cosmopolitan cities, but mostly ignore when at home.
The things architects don't talk about much, and city designers don't budget much for. Things that are preserved and things that are fading away.
Include some bad design too if you like! How well does new stuff compare to the old stuff that survives?
Include some graffiti if you like also, but that's pretty nicely covered in some other Flickr groups.
