About Whales & Dolphins in Sri Lanka

This group is intended for all nature lovers but wish to inform you that the group is solely for Whales and Dolphins photographed within Sri Lankan Shores 'ONLY'.

Whales and Dolphins have ben spotted around for a very long time in and around Sri Lanka but has taken off in a boom since very recently.

I wish to encourage all Photographers and general Whale and Dolphin lovers to please keep your distance when going by boats and to discourage those who go after the whales and doplhins especially the whales for they need breathing space and when the boats get too close to these mammals, they simply get scared.

Let us esjoy these magnificient beings, but conserve and protect their environment and not endanger their lives.

Let us also be greatful to MIRISSA WATER SPORTS for doing a magnificient job in providing the rides.

Together let us protect, conserve the Whale watching in SRI LANKA & also contribute to the MWS CREW for their service and let us contribute in a greater way for they all suffered alot during the TSUNAMI of 2004 and have been all given an opportunity by MWS to become part of their team and also help us get across to see the whales.
