About Name Your Dream Assignment

This group is for anyone interested in the “Name Your Dream Assignment” sponsored by Lenovo and Microsoft.

Do you and your camera have a dream?

Would you love to take your lens to a far-off, exotic land? Do you dream of taking great pictures and posting them to a top-notch blog that will be seen by thousands?

Name your dream assignment and you can do all this, maybe more, and get your expenses paid to do it.

"Name Your Dream Assignment" invites you to submit your idea for a never-done-before photo shoot. Everyone will have a chance to vote on their favorite idea, and a panel of judges will select from the top 20 most creative and inspiring suggestions.

And it’s the idea that counts. You don’t need to be a pro photographer, or even to have a portfolio. All you need is a dream.

The winner will get a $50,000 cash award plus lots of goodies including a Lenovo ThinkPad W700 notebook computer with Windows Vista, specially designed for photographers.

So tell us your dream and it just might come true.

The contest officially began Tues, March 3. Judging began April 3. We heard back from the judges, and the Dream Assignment winners have been chosen. The winning Dream Assignment ideas will be announced on the Name Your Dream Assignment Web site Thursday, April 24, at 12 p.m. EST, 9 a.m. PST.
