About 100songs
What the hell is 100songs about?
The purpose of this group is simple: to portrait one hundred songs. Being it quite a conceptual project, you shouldn't forget that:
- The artwork you chose should represent one and one song only.
- The artwork chosen to represent a song should be REALLY meaningful. Don't post your pet and just chose a random song like "Somewhere over the rainbow". Which leads us to the next point ...
- If the picture isn't quite self-explainable (or if the concept you want to address to is too vague for the viewer), remember to add a good description. You are not forced to do this though; sometimes it's nice to keep an abstract interpretation of things, and that is totally acceptable.
- There's no point in committing yourself to do the 100songs project if you're having no fun while doing it. That said, there isn't any particular moderation for the project's artwork - the purpose of this group is just to gather people that want to achieve this same goal.
What should I do to join the 100songs project? What shouldn't I do while participating?
- For each artwork piece you feel that fit the project, just follow these six simple steps:
------------
1) Add a tag named 100songs to the piece.
2) Add a tag with the counter, such as songX. Example: "song10".
3) Add the artist name as a tag. Example: "Radiohead".
4) Add the song's name as a tag. For names with spaces, use brackets, like "Everything In Its Right Place".
5) Whenever possible, add a link to YouTube with the song. The link should be like the following:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuQ1Q0zuM50">♪♫♪</a>
Just paste this and replace the link from YouTube by the video featuring your artwork's song.
6) Add the photo to this group's pool.
------------
- You can post any kind of artwork, but photography is preferred.
- Have fun!
