About ABANDON: COLOR: Unexpected beauty in deserted man-made structure What once was new is now old and decaying. Overgrown, becoming part of a new lanscape. At times a somehwhat disturbing unexpected beauty emerges from our man-made past. This is not our usual notion of the landscape photograph, but comes from a terrain left to occupy a place in our industrial society, until reclaimed by the earth or reoccupied by man. The intent of this group is to go beyond the snapshot and uncover the Abandoned architectual and lanscape photographs that lie within mans deserted, disgarded past. |
