About ABANDON: B&W Unexpected beauty in deserted man-made structures

What once was new is now old and decaying. Overgrown, becoming part of a new lanscape. At times a somehwhat disturbing unexpected beauty emerges from our man-made past. This is not our usual notion of the landscape photograph, but comes from a terrain left to occupy a place in our industrial society, until reclaimed by the earth or reoccupied by man. The intent of this group is to go beyond the snapshot and uncover the Abandoned architectual and lanscape photographs that lie within mans deserted, disgarded past.
Submitting a Photo

1) Please take the time to visit the challenge threads to see which challenges are outstanding and vote on 5 (or whatever is available) challenges in the pool. Others in the group take the time to comment and vote for yours, please take some time and return the favor.Be respectful.

2) - choose a photo you want to challenge --- (make sure this photo is already accepted and has this comment: "Congratulations, this photo has been accepted in the pool of ABANDON: B&W_100 Best . This status can be contested!" somewhere in its comments!)

3) - paste your challenge by writing something like "This photo is challenging URL of the photo you want to challenge from the pool of ABANDON: B&W_100 Best - www.flickr.com/groups/100Bestbw. Vote me in!" in the comment below your photo.

4) - Vote on at least 5 (!) remaining challenges in the pool (or whatever is available) if two submissions are made, more votes are required. Systematic violation of this rule could result in being temporarily removed from the ABANDON group.
