The “green lung” of East Westphalia

Situated at the southern borders of the Teutoburger Wald and at the foothills of the Eggegebirge, Bad Lippspringe directly borders on the arid heathland of the Senne.

Forest and mountains protect the place against north and east winds and cater for the specially unirritating climate beneficial to health, showing always balanced temperature and humidity values.

The 240-ha spa forest proves to be a real duest filter. 25km of incline-free hiking trails cross the dense mixed forest. Lake Strothe, nature educational trail and idyllic outlying lakes are suugestive of endless tranquility.

While enjoying a rest with a cup of coffee and tasty cake in one of the nice cafés, the walker can let his spirits flow unhindered. And those who like to take their time for a moment of silence should visit the Chapel of Peace illuminated by a sea of candles or the Cemetery of Honour.
