Emptiness is an inverse manner of presenting space. Some photo theorists and art theorists have discussed the importance of space and spatial concepts in artistic construction. We seem to focus mostly on objects and physical content and ingnore the importance of space. Sometimes space is important by its absence, sometimes by is presence and even its dominance. Absence does not necessarly mean nothingness, just content without form such as clouds or texture.

For this this group emptiness means space that gives the impression, the sense of emptiness. A room can portray emptiness, by the way we construct the photograph even though it is full of furniture, even people. A street with people can convey a feeling of empty when it is full of cars. Emptiness is a powerful icon. It conveys emotion, feelings, location. atmosphere and sense of place.
