rss-media namespace error

view profile

ukdiveboy says:

The RSS feeds from Flickr have an error in the XML namespace definition. There should be a slash at the end of search.yahoo.com/mrss .

You can read the spec at search.yahoo.com/mrss

A similar thread (by sirrobot) reported this problem back in September. I hope that you can get this fixed sometime soon! I can't see any Flickr images in my feedreader.

p.s., Picassa do the right thing ;)

This change has broken my xslt tools on my website, and probably countless other problems elsewhere. It took me ages to figure out why my tools weren't working, and it's all down to this one extra / on the end of a URI!

I'm with you, it's the correct change to make, but it needs to be more widely publicised as it could affect a lot of people.

Thanks,
Dave.
