FAQ

What does "beta" "gamma" mean?

Gamma is a label similar to "beta", which indicates that the system is in active development. We will be adding some features, but we are mostly concentrating on performance, stability, disaster recovery and customer support. In the meantime, there may be unscheduled downtime, bugs and other annoyances.

If I have some time left on an existing Pro Account, do I get to keep it?

Yes, of course. The year will be added to any time you have remaining on your existing account.

Does it renew automatically?

No it does not. We will send you a reminder before your account expires to let you know when your account runs out and the expiry date will always appear on your account page (which you view by clicking on your screen name at the top of each page).

What happens when my Pro Account expires?

When your Pro Account expires, it reverts to a free account. Under the terms of a free account, the last 200 items you uploaded are visible in your photostream and up to 3 sets that contain those 200 items.

Can I buy an account for a friend or family member (or other Flickr member)?

Yes. You can designate their name on the order form and add them to your order (or just buy one for them without buying one for yourself).

Alternative payment methods

If you don't have a Paypal account, or don't wish to create one as part of your order, you can:

DO NOT SEND CASH OR PERSONAL CHEQUES. PERSONAL CHEQUES WILL BE DESTROYED AND CASH WILL BE POCKETED FOR THE WEEKEND, BUT YOU WILL NOT GET AN ACCOUNT.
